FlareStore is a comprehensive platform built for iOS enthusiasts, developers, and power users who want full control over the apps they install on their Apple devices. We provide a suite of free and premium tools designed to make app signing, certificate management, and sideloading accessible to everyone — no Mac required, no complicated setup, and no prior experience needed.
Our Mission
Apple's ecosystem is powerful, but it can also be restrictive. Many users want to install apps that aren't available on the App Store — whether those are open-source projects, beta software, emulators, or custom tools built for specific workflows. The traditional process of signing and sideloading these apps requires a Mac, Xcode, and a level of technical knowledge that puts it out of reach for most people.
FlareStore was created to change that. Our mission is to democratize app signing by providing tools that work entirely in the browser, on any device. Whether you're on an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, or even Apple Vision Pro, FlareStore gives you the ability to sign and install apps in just a few taps.
We believe that users should have the freedom to choose what software runs on their own devices. FlareStore exists to make that freedom practical and accessible, while maintaining the security and integrity of the signing process.
What is App Signing?
Every iOS app must be digitally signed with a valid Apple Developer certificate before it can be installed on a device. This is a core part of Apple's security model — it ensures that apps come from a known source and haven't been tampered with. When you download an app from the App Store, Apple handles the signing automatically. But for apps distributed outside the App Store, users need to handle signing themselves.
App signing involves attaching a P12 certificate (a digital identity file) and a provisioning profile (which tells iOS which devices and capabilities the app is allowed to use) to an IPA file (the iOS app package). This process traditionally requires macOS-only tools like Xcode or codesign, but FlareStore's Web Signer performs the entire process in your browser — quickly, securely, and on any platform.
Understanding app signing is important because it determines how long your apps stay installed, what features they can use, and whether they'll survive a certificate revocation. FlareStore simplifies this process so that you can focus on using your apps, not fighting with developer tools.
What is Sideloading?
Sideloading refers to the process of installing apps on your device without going through the official App Store. On iOS, this is done by signing an IPA file with a valid certificate and then installing it via a method like OTA (over-the-air) installation, a tool like AltStore, or a sideloading app like Feather.
There are many legitimate reasons to sideload apps. Developers use it to test their own apps on real hardware. Researchers use it to study app behavior. Enthusiasts use it to run open-source software, classic game emulators, system utilities, and apps that Apple has chosen not to allow on the App Store. Sideloading doesn't require jailbreaking — it works on stock iOS using Apple's own developer signing infrastructure.
FlareStore supports multiple sideloading methods, including direct OTA installation from the browser, DNS-based anti-revoke protection, and integration with popular sideloading apps. Our platform guides walk you through the best approach for your specific device and use case.
Our Tools
FlareStore offers a complete suite of tools for every step of the app signing and sideloading process. Each tool is designed to be fast, intuitive, and accessible from any device with a web browser.
How It Works
Getting started with FlareStore is straightforward, whether you're a first-time user or an experienced sideloader. Here's the general process:
- Get your UDID: Use our UDID Grabber to find your device's unique identifier. This is a one-time step that takes about 30 seconds.
- Get a certificate: Purchase a certificate from our Store or use one of our free community certificates. Your UDID will be registered on the certificate so that signed apps can run on your device.
- Sign your apps: Use the Web Signer to upload your IPA file and signing assets. The signer handles all the cryptographic work and produces a ready-to-install signed IPA.
- Install: Tap the install button to begin an OTA installation, or use a sideloading app like Feather for ongoing app management.
- Protect your apps: Optionally install our DNS profile to block certificate revocation checks and keep your apps running indefinitely.
The entire process can be completed on your iPhone or iPad — no computer required. For detailed instructions tailored to your specific platform, check out our step-by-step guides.
Security & Privacy
We take the security of your signing assets seriously. When you upload a certificate or IPA file to FlareStore, it is processed on our servers for the duration of the signing operation and then deleted. We do not store your P12 files, passwords, or provisioning profiles beyond what is needed to complete the signing request.
FlareStore uses HTTPS for all data transmission and follows industry best practices for secure file handling. Your payment information is processed by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. For complete details on how we handle your data, please read our Privacy Policy.
